Sehit Emre Karaaslan Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi

Our school, which opened in 2000 in Kestel/Bursa, is a Vocational Technical High School for girls aged 15-19.

There are 5 workshops for 4 departments:

  • Child Development,
  • Graphic Design,
  • Aesthetic Services,
  • Fashion Design.
  • Our Practice

The kindergarten provides observational internship opportunities for students. 40 students receive inclusive education. Our school consists mainly of students from low socio-economic backgrounds. The vision of our institution is to make the school a preferred vocational education institution and to educate well-equipped students. The topics that interest our school and we participate in projects related to them are:

  • Increasing 21st century skills in teachers,
  • Acquiring professional and green skills,Increasing students' professional competence,
  • Integrating digitalization in classrooms,
  • Early school dropout,
  • Creating a positive classroom and school climate,
  • Preventing bullying,
  • Student mentoring,
  • Integrating disadvantaged students,
  • Exchanging good practices between countries.

The Harezmi project, which is a national project, has been implemented in our school for two years. ''Harezmi'' is a domestic STEM model.

In addition to this, many projects in the field or in the school as a whole are carried out in the local-national space and are ongoing.

Our school was selected for the PISA exam that was implemented in the world in 2021.

Various scientific, social, cultural and sports activities continue in our school, while we have many degrees in Turkey and in our city.

eTwinning projects have been running since 2018.

6 out of our 7 projects were distinguished in the "Top 200 Projects of Turkey" list.

Our "Career Clubs" project, which focuses on the professional development of students, became the first in Turkey in the Vocational High School category in 2021.

Our school carried out an Erasmus+ internship mobility program (KA102) in 2017.

We carried out 3 activities within the framework of our project titled "Improving the Qualifications of Our Girls Students in Kestel through Internships":

  • Child Development and Education Department (8 students and 2 teachers-2 weeks- Germany)
  • Graphic Design Department (8 students and 3 teachers-2 weeks- Lithuania)
  • Aesthetic Services Department (8 students and 3 teachers-2 weeks- Czech Republic)

In 2020, our school was accepted again with the Erasmus+ internship mobility program.

As part of our project "You Design the World Will See", 21 students from the Department of Graphic Design carried out a practical mobility in Belgium for 2 weeks and 3 flows.

In 2022, our school joined the consortium with the accreditation of our provincial directorate of national education.

Teachers and students gained a lot of experience from these two Erasmus+ projects.

Now we want to gain experience in the field of small and large collaborations (KA210-KA220).

In this way, our teachers and students will both become more experienced in project development and will develop culturally by interacting with teachers and students abroad.

Being aware that Bursa is an important industrial city, we believe that our students will increase their professional and cultural qualifications, increase their employment opportunities and contribute to the economy and employment of the country.

Our goal is to introduce student work, increase the use of foreign languages, encourage interdisciplinary work and inter-institutional cooperation with international partnership projects.

For this, our school aims to follow the latest technologies in education and develop green activities for our environment.

Thus, we aim to contribute to social development and be an example for other institutions.

IES Vega de Atarfe

IESVA is located in Atarfe, a town in the metropolitan area of Granada. It is structured in ESO and Baccalaureate (ESO and Baccalaureate for Adults); Formative Cycles of FP of Administration: Basic, Medium and High Degree. It has about 980 students and 72 teachers, it is a bilingual school in English since 2006 and has an Educational Compensation Plan for students with socioeconomic and cultural needs since 2003.

In the last years we are working on improving teachers' training in new methodologies and emotional education. We have made a great effort in three areas: digital transformation and competence in teachers, students and families; internationalization with Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects and sustainability. We also include programs for the development of students' abilities and skills for life and work in the 21st century in favour of inclusion, equity and opportunities for all students, in spite of their background and trying to reach higher quality standards and lowering early school dropout rate and school failure.

We work on new methodologies to involve students, especially the most disadvantaged, in school life through innovative programs such as the eco-garden, entrepreneurship, project-based activities and the development of soft skills and STEAM projects.

Our school excels in working collaboratively with other countries since 2016. Since then, we have developed a wide variety of actions in the field of internationalization. We have completed 18 eTwinning projects (all of them with National and European Quality Labels), together with other 5 more projects during this school year. We are an eTwinning school since this label was founded and we have had National Prize in 2018, 2021 and 2023. The Erasmus coordinator is an eTwinning Ambassador and moderates the European eTwinning featured group for VET.

We created several transnational networks with the schools met in Erasmus mobilities and the eTwinning projects partners are becoming engaged in Erasmus actions. We have taken part in school exchanges to France and Italy and hosted job-shadowing from Germany and Turkey and visits from schools from France. We have also hosted several students short and long term mobilities.

Our participation in Erasmus+ program started in 2019. We have already had projects in KA101, KA122, KA210, KA22, KA131 for Higher Education as we hold the ECHE Card and take part in a consortium for Adults.

In 2023 we created the International Department and from 2025 we offer a bilingual subject for Grade 11 called European Culture.

The school hosts students from 12 years of age from a wide range of population so that multiculturalism, multiple skills and the difference in profiles is significant and we pay special attention to coexistence and issues of discipline and conflict resolution.

From the compulsory stage, the school offers 3 options:

1. Baccalaureate: Sciences, Social Sciences or Humanities (16-18 y.o)

2. Vocational Training:

  • Basic Cycle of Administrative Assistant (15-17 y.o)
  • Medium Cycle of Administrative Management (From 16 y.o.)
  • Superior Cycle of Administration and Finance (from 18 y.o)

3. As blended learning education we offer
